The child bike trailer is available only as an add-on to a compatible e-bike rented from Canmore E-Bike Rentals.
Our staff will attach the trailer and check the hitch before pickup. Child helmets are included.Compatible E-Bikes
Elegant, Bravo, and Yukon. Not available with the Urban or Kodiak.
Child Requirements
- At least 18 months old
- Maximum weight: 18 kg (40 lb) per child
- Maximum height: 105 cm (41.3 in)
- Must be able to sit upright unassisted and hold their head up while wearing a properly fitted bicycle helmet, which must sit below the internal roll bar
How to Book
- Add a compatible e-bike and the trailer to the same cart
- Select the same rental date and pickup time for both
- If your bike is already booked, book the trailer separately and enter your original order number in the Order Notes
Important Information
- Maximum towing speed 20 km/h (12 mph)
- Paved paths and smooth roads only. Not suitable for off-road riding or wet or icy conditions
- The trailer must only be attached, removed or adjusted by our staff

- Pickup is available between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- The default pickup time is 1:00 PM and can be changed in the booking form

The Volt Kodiak is a stable, long-tail cargo e-bike designed for riding with a child passenger. Its padded rear seat, surrounding safety rail, wheel guards and footrests provide a comfortable, purpose-built setup, while the low-step frame, wide tires and hydraulic disc brakes make it well suited for the Legacy Trail and riding around Canmore and the Bow Valley.
Rental includes: Adult helmet, child helmet, bike lock and free customer parking.
Child Passenger Setup

- Staff will review the passenger setup and safe loading procedures before departure
Important Information
- The adult rider must be comfortable balancing and controlling it with the extra weight of the passenger.
- The child must remain seated inside the safety rail and keep their feet on the footrests while the bike is moving.
- The child must be able to sit upright independently and follow the adult rider’s instructions.
- The Kodiak cannot be used with the child bike trailer.

- Pickup is available between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- The default pickup time is 1:00 PM. You can change it in the booking form.

E-BIKE RENTAL REQUIRED
The Thule Yepp 2 child seat is available only as an add-on to a compatible e-bike rented from Canmore E-Bike Rentals.
Our staff will install and adjust the seat before pickup. A child helmet is included.Compatible E-Bikes
Elegant, Bravo, and Yukon. Not available with the Urban or Kodiak.

- Maximum weight: 18 kg (40 lb)
- Maximum height: 110 cm (43.3 in)
- Must be able to sit upright independently and support their head while wearing a properly fitted bicycle helmet
How to Book
- Add a compatible e-bike and the child seat to the same cart
- Select the same rental date and pickup time for both
- If your bike is already booked, book the seat separately and enter your original order number in the Order Notes

- The rear storage bag isn’t available when the seat is installed

The Volt Elegant Step Through is a comfortable e-bike that’s easy to mount and ideal for biking the Legacy Trail and Bow Valley area. Its upright riding position, front suspension, hydraulic disc brakes and 500W motor make it smooth, stable and easy to control.
FITS ALMOST EVERYONE
This is our one size fits almost all bike, and it generally suits riders from 5’3″ to 6’6″.
Under 5’3″? We recommend booking the Volt Urban Step Through, though you can swap to an Elegant at pickup if you prefer.Minimum age to ride: 12. This is set by Alberta law for all e-bikes and we can’t make exceptions, even with parental permission.
Rental includes: Helmet, bike lock, storage bag, free customer parking, and a rain poncho when rain is forecast.
Child add-ons: A Thule Yepp 2 child seat or a child bike trailer can be added to this rental. The storage bag isn’t available when the child seat is fitted.

The Volt Urban Step Through is our smallest e-bike, and we reserve it for riders under 5’4″. We only have two, so we hold them for shorter riders who don’t fit the rest of our fleet. Adjustable handlebars and seat size it down to around 4’1″, and the low frame makes it easy to get on and off.
Its 500W peak power motor, hydraulic disc brakes and lockout front suspension make it smooth and easy to control on the Legacy Trail and around the Bow Valley. The wheels are smaller than the rest of our fleet, so the steering is quicker. Stick to paved paths and smooth gravel, and give yourself a few minutes to get used to it before heading out.
NO CHILD SEAT OR TRAILER
The Volt Urban can’t be fitted with a child seat and can’t pull a child trailer.
If you’re riding with a child, choose the Volt Elegant Step Through, Volt Bravo or Volt Yukon Step Through instead.Rental includes: Helmet, bike lock, storage bag and free customer parking.
